After conducting a comprehensive study on possible options of credit guarantee schemes for Nepal, UKaid Sakchyam organized a workshop on “Developing a Robust MSME Credit Guarantee Facility: Unleashing Access to MSME Finance in Nepal” on 11th December in Kathmandu where the Chief Guest of the program was Honorable Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Dr. Chiranjibi Nepal. This workshop brought together policy makers, regulators, markets players and other stakeholders such as Mr. Rurik Mardsen, Head of DFID Nepal, Mr. Uttar Khatri, Under Secretary of Ministry of Finance, Mr. Bishnu Babu Mishra, Chief Executive Officer of Deposit and Credit Guarantee Fund and CEOs from the banking industry – to discuss on ways to scale up credit guarantee programme with an objective to support MSME lending.
