About Our Logo

Sakchyam (meaning “capable” in Nepali) seeks to help the Nepalese help themselves by investing in their financial capability. Sakchyam will bridge the gap in financial services available to the rural poor, women, youth and members of disadvantaged, marginalised groups in Nepal’s Mid- and Far-western regions and beyond.

The name also signifies the positivity and belief our team has in the immense untapped potential of these rural areas to transform into areas of great prosperity and in the people who called these areas home to achieve this in the near future.

Rationale for the logo: Sakchyam (meaning “capable” in Nepali) seeks to help the Nepalese help themselves by investing in their financial capability. Sakchyam will bridge the gap in financial services available to the communities in the mid-western, far-western regions and beyond.

The bright colors used in the background demonstrate Sakchyam’s resolve to enable the unbanked/underbanked households (depicted by a woman and a man) access to innovative financial products, services and institutions through multiple delivery channels (as depicted by the enforced linkages of the Karnali cable-stayed bridge).
